Victoria de Pereda

Sustainability, Innovation and Design

Founder of To Dodesign, with more than fifteen years of experience in the sustainability field, she works on environmental assessment projects.

She defines strategies for incorporating environmental and social criteria in different organizations, business, non-profit, and academic sectors.

Experience

As a designer and expert in sustainability and innovation, she works for different production sectors. She has been involved in higher design education for 20 years, 10 years as Sustainability Director and head of the Innovation labs for entrepreneurship, communication, and product and service design.
She has participated in international social development projects in Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East through national organizations such as AECID (Spanish Cooperation Agency) and international organizations such as the EU and the UN.
She teaches courses and conferences on topics related to sustainability at various Universities and organizations, such as ESIC, EOI, IE, and the Madrid Chamber of Commerce.
She speaks fluent Spanish (mother tongue), English, French and Italian.

Alicia Torrego

Leadership, Governance and SDGs

She has extensive experience in people management and leadership and is an expert in corporate social responsibility models and the Sustainable Development Goals.

Experience

Professional with extensive experience and vision.
She is currently a partner in Liderarte – Factoría de Talenti, practising in Leadership development projects and applying artistic practices in her training to increase results. She was the manager of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Goals for SAREB (Asset Management Company from Bank Restructuring), coordinating SAREB’s Sustainability Master Plan with KPMG. Throughout her 20 years of experience as an organizational development Consultant, she has specialized in the development of professional skills according to organizational cultures, with the main focus on Self-leadership, Development of Management and Team Skills and Talent Management, applying these methodologies to teams in Spain: BME Innova, Visual Trader, CBRE Group, Acciona Group, Quiero TV, L’Oréal, Endesa, Continente, Leroy Merlin, Euro Forum, Walt Disney, Oki España, Uralita Group, Fundación máshumano and The Leap Weak End. In Mexico: Flexi Group.

Marcel Gomez

ACV and certifications

Marcel Gomez has been an Environmental consultant since 2006. He specializes in Energy Efficiency and improving companies’ and products’ performance and environmental communication through Life Cycle Assessment.

Experience

Marcel Gómez has an extensive career in the environmental field, more than 15 years. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Forum for Sustainability through Life Cycle Innovation (FSLCI). He is part of the advisory committee on Life Cycle Analysis for the Green Building Council Europe.
He is an authorized verifier of Environmental Product Declarations (The International EPD System) by the International EPD Consortium of Sweden. He is the authorized verifier of Environmental Product Declarations (EPD construction) by the Colegio de aparejadores de Barcelona.
He is part of the panel of evaluators of certification entities for the Mexican Accreditation Entity and has been an authorized certifier of the Organization’s Carbon Footprint of the Spanish Office of Climate Change in the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment since 2015.
Since 2014, he has been the Chief Auditor of the ISO 50001 Energy Management System in the International Register of Certified Auditors (IRCA)
For two years, 2005-06, he was Director of the Life Cycle Analysis department for Randa Group SA, Barcelona.

Ana Contreras

Regenerative Strategy and Integrated Sustainable Urban Development

LEED AP Architect, Urban Planner and Technical Expert for strategic advice and regenerative design for cities and organizations.

Experience

More than 20 years of professional experience, 18 of which are in the ACCIONA Group, in the construction, design, and research of large infrastructures and urban complexes in countries around the world, highlighting Barcelona airport in her beginnings. Her experience with financial institutions and, especially with the European Commission, has allowed her to gain first-hand knowledge of the most innovative solutions for sustainable urban development, having coordinated in recent years the International Urban and Regional Cooperation program (www.iurc.eu) in more than 138 cities and 40 regions in Europe, Asia, Australasia, Latin America and North America.

She leads the company ACERTA Sustainable Design and Development, founded in February 2024. Currently, she is also a professor of the Master’s Degree in Urban Sustainability – MIGMA at the Spanish School of Industrial Organization (EOI).

Manuel Quirós

Nature-Based Solutions and Biodiversity

Manuel is a PhD researcher, an expert in NbS (Nature-based Solutions) and biomimicry, and has extensive experience in education for sustainable development and project management at an international level.

Experience

In the field of higher education, he is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Instituto de Empresa (IE University), a professor at the University of Navarra, and the Unesco Chair of the U.P. Vasco and ESIC University.
In 2015, he founded natureinspireus.com, promoting sustainability projects based on biomimetic thinking.
He is a Co-founder of the International Biomimesis Network, redinternacionalbiomimesis.org.
In 2017, he participated in the European Biomimicry for Entrepreneurs Project.
He is a Contributing Editor of Zygote Quarterly Journal, zqjournal.org and Author of the Natureinspireus biomimicry blog.
